Herpes zoster adalah penyakit infeksi akibat reaktivasi virus varisela laten. Terdapat 8%-56% kasus herpes oftalmika dan pada sekitar 50%-72% pasien periokular akan terjadi gangguan mata kehilangan visual derajat sedang sampai berat. Kasus. Laki-laki usia 16 tahun dengan lenting-lenting di dahi, kelopak mata, hidung sisi kanan disertai nyeri, memerah, berkabut, penurunan tajam penglihatan, kotoran putih kekuningan yang lengket sejak kurang lebih satu minggu. Hutchinson sign positif. Pasien memiliki riwayat cacar air, tetapi tidak komorbid. Diagnosis okuli dekstra uveitis anterior. Tata laksana paracetamol oral 3 x 500 mg, acyclovir 5 800 amoxicillin 3x500 methylprednisolone 2x8 salep kali sehari, kulit sehari. Simpulan. Pada penglihatan perlu diwaspadai komplikasi anterior; terapi kortikosteroid dapat berhasil baik.
